Four Seasons
Daily Prompt: Realize
Living in Southern California, I didn’t realize that autumn is here. My maple tree is still green. I suddenly remember the time I lived elsewhere, when the trees, mountains, streets, gardens, parks, and beaches, tell me different season is here. Once in a while, I go back to visit the place I used to live – Portland, Oregon. When I go, I take photos, save them to remind me that there are four seasons, even though they aren’t apparent in this part of town.
The four seasons in Portland, Oregon:
Spring flowers along the fence
Cherry blossom in Japanese Garden.
Summer spectacular in Rose Garden
Casual playing in the park
Fall colors of orange, red trees on the street
Pumpkins in a raised flower bed.
Winter fun of skiing on Mount Adams
Hibernating trees around town.

Thanks regarding offering many of these substantial info

Beautiful pictures capturing the seasons! I guess, with the pumpkin, there are strawberry plants. I haven’t seen strawberry plants a while. Thanks for sharing pictures of West Coast seasons. 🙂

Oh, my daughter has a raised flower bed of strawberries. I can’t fit all the pictures in my post.

That is exciting! This gives me an idea. We may try to grow a few strawberry plants next summer. It is almost an impossibility in El Paso’s dry weather but worth a try.

When I tried to grow raspberries, I had to put shade over the plant.

One year, I tried to go to Japan to see the cherry blossom, but I think we have a glimpse here in the US in many states.

True…I enjoy going to the Japanese tea Gardens here in San Francisco. I believe the Japanese gardening style is the best..coming together of all elements is great for inner peace.

Thank you. I love the different colors in different seasons. We don’t have them here where I live. I just love the purple flowers along the fence of my daughter’s house.

Thank you. The first one is the fence of my daughter’s house. We went for a walk and took the picture of the pumpkin on the sidewalk. 🙂

Your pictures are lovely and they really do tell the story of the four seasons. I am not a fan of colder weather (because of my health) but I do love living where the seasons actually change.
