Tuesday Travel – Florida
Key West, Florida is the southernmost point in the continent of USA. We had a chance to visit and it turned out to be a trip that enhanced our knowledge and insight.
This is the picture of Ernest Hemingway’s fishing boat named Pilar. Hemingway regularly fished off the boat in the waters of Key West, Florida. Several of Hemingway’s books were influenced by time spent on the boat, most notably, The Old Man and the Sea and Islands in the Stream.
The winter White House of President Harry S. Truman. It was his white house away from the White House. Today it is a public Key West museum.
Successful fishing trip! Many birds around were waiting for the scraps from cleaning the fish.
Roosters were roaming on the walls and sidewalks. Iguanas and human shared the same right crossing the street.
Wreck Museum displayed all the treasure found from the shipwreck. There was a Tower Cam on the top deck of the museum. My husband stood in front the Tower Cam and called his friend in California. His friend logged on the website, saw him on live-camera and conversed on the phone!
The sunset was beautiful (appeared in previous post).
We enjoyed our time down there.

I just had to say that picture of the sunset is beautiful! The introvert in me could just stare at it all day. 🙂

I took hundreds of sunset pictures. I could feature a sunset in different part of the globe, but I have to dig up 15 years of travel photos!!! 🙂

I get you. I have the same amount of collection but most of it I lost when the hardware from a couple of laptops broke. Now I’m taking the time to upload everything on a cloud file.

I have a 64 GB USB drive as backup.

USB back ups are great. I also have a 500GB external hard drive but it’s almost full.

Did you go in Hemingway’s house? We did once a couple of years ago. Key West was one of the shore stops on our last cruise,

We did go to Hemingway’s house. My post only shows the picture of his boat hanging on his wall. Yea, a good place to shop. You must have had a nice cruise trip.

We love to cruise! That’s our family vacation every year. That’s right, that picture was on his wall, I remember now! I thought Key West was really, really cool.

That’s nice to have your family vacation every year. We have a large family, so it’s hard to do that. We have several families to go together as family vacations a few times.

No, we only flew into Key West. But we drive on the new highway parallel with the old and saw other Keys.
