A Tiny Spider
Daily Prompt: Tiny
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Mathew 6:34
A tiny spider
Labors every night,
Spins his web, in
Perfect symmetry.
Innate architect!
He awaits for his prey,
A fly, a moth, a butterfly.
Meal for the night,
Reward for the labor.
Before dawn,
Down his trap,
Hides away.
When night is nigh
He starts his day
Spins his web, again.
Wonderful Poem! Love the web!

That reminds me of the spider that goes in my computer and takes my block chain out peace by peace . If your lucky then you will catch them.

WOW, this is a really creative use of the humble spider! I normally think of them with irrational fear, but this sheds new spiritual light on the example they set for us. As someone who suffers episodic/cyclical depression and anxiety, I have learned to listen for God’s voice in the whirlwind: “Stay still, I’m here–we will only do ‘today’ today” (not the overwhelming tomorrows I see hurtling toward me). He is So Good and Faithful–I spent all afternoon praising and thanking Him, after 2 or 3 days of growing unease. Hallelujah!! Which reminds me, I pray for the bloggers I know each night–and have no doubt some pray for me as well; amazing, that God planned for the Internet way back when He was creating the world!

I am suffering from lymph-edema everyday due to the removal of lymph nodes to treat my cancer. Without the lymph nodes, body fluid can’t circulate from my legs (especially left leg) to the upper body. So I spend many hours a day to massage or do exercise or elevate my legs to help the fluid go to the upper body. When I neglect doing that, my leg would be so swollen that I couldn’t sleep. My feet are still numb and tinkling and need med at night to calm the nerve. But I just remind myself everyday that there are people in the world, like you, who has bigger health problem. Then I just try to be thankful and pray for other people instead of focus on my own problem. It is good of you to pray for the bloggers. I will also remember you!!!!!! 🙂

Oh my goodness, thank you for sharing about your health issue–which, to me, sounds WAY Bigger than my “episodes”. It sounds very uncomfortable! I’ll know how to pray more specifically for you, and that’s always good…though of course, God already knows, so it’s not like He’s depending on me to read Him notes, haha!! How great that we’ll now be praying for each other 🙂 ❤

I’m sorry. I know some people are scare of spiders. I wrote the poem long time ago but didn’t post it. I finally decided to post it with a verse from the scripture.

I know it’s amazing. I watched the spider spinning at least two times. It takes so long to spin the web just for one meal! What a lesson to learn as you said!
