Weekly Photo Challenge – Name
We walked around Laguna Lake today. I saw two ducks that I had never seen before. I took some photos. Here are the photos of them together and individually. I am hoping some experts could help me name these lovely ducks!
Good news! Ineke Kruger at https://scrapydo2.wordpress.com just helped me identify the name of these ducks or geese. They are Egyptian Geese. See the last photo for info. Thank you, Ineke Kruger!!

I was surprised that such rare geese show up by the lake. I first name the post Name the Ducks to ask bloggers help me identify them. So glad that Ineke responded right away to give me the reference.

Oh, my brother-in-law worked in Egypt for 5 years – Cairo, at military base. We missed the visit when he was there. Time goes by so fast!

It appears that one of them is sporting a drake feather so that one would be a male. The other doesn’t seem to have one. Maybe you have a couple!

There are mostly Mallard ducks. These new ducks have big eyes. I looked at the board that describe the ducks in the lake, didn’t see any pictures that look like these ducks.
