Weekly Photo Challenge – Ambience, Full Moon
The full moon of January 2017 is blazing brightly in the skies on January 11 at 8:30 p.m. EST (0130 GMT). The moon technically reaches its full phase on January 12, morning at 6:34 a.m. EST (1134 GMT).
All of the year’s full moons have names, which are given to them by Native American Tribes living in the eastern and northern United States. January’s full moon is known primarily as the “Wolf Moon,” according to the Farmers’ Almanac.

This post is where I posted the moon photo. You made a link to “shine” but that link only refer to WP prompt “shine.” If you like my photo, I like to be properly credited. I give credit to my daughter when I use her photo.

I just wanted to link to the prompt as I think the picture of the moon I took myself would fit to that category. If I would show pictures of other people I of course would label them with their name and credits properly! But as the picture of the moon was taken by myself I used my own signature and credits.

Beautiful. It was so bright last night I thought a car had just parked leaving their lights on.

Thank you, Teresa. I’m glad I wasn’t on the road, otherwise, I’d have missed it.

Nicely captured Miriam! Love that final shot, and have never heard of the wolf moon so I learned something new today!

The link I attached gives all the names of 12 months, named by the American Indian Tribes. It seems to be recognized by the Almanac.

Someone almost call it super moon, but it’s not officially super moon according to the original name. It was very bright. I’m glad I caught it. Thank you for the comment!

Very nice! We are reminded of the supermoon back in October. It was very early in the morning (6am) as we were in the taxi that we noticed it was kinda bright for that time of the day…
