Cee’s Which Way Challenge – Windsor Castle
London is a wonderful place to visit. We arrived five days prior to joining our tour. My childhood friend and her husband took us visit places outside of London. One of the places was Windsor Castle. Some college students worked in the ticket office. On girl said, “The Queen is not here today. She went to visit my college!” If the Queen was there, would we be able to visit her?
We were getting close to Windsor Castle
Trying to find the entrance to the visitor parking
Going to the ticket office to get the self guided tour radios
Part of the Castle is not open to public, guards were on duty
After visiting Windsor Castle, we were on the way to Stonehenge
Wow so beautiful 🙂 🙂 I would love to travel there x x

I like the way you told the story of approaching the castle, of going to the ticket office, etc. It felt like we were there! I just got back from Washington DC to visit family, and we went on a guided tour of the Congress and Supreme Court buildings. It *was* kind of strange to see iconic buildings (like the Supreme Court) just in the middle of city streets, etc. – Same with Windsor Castle, you only see the “front” in news photographs. 🙂

Yes, by touring, it takes the mysterious, apprehensive feeling away, and start to “see” what’s behind the scene! I haven’t been to D.C. yet. I would like to go very soon!

You’re right! It was an amazing trip – just before the Inauguration, which seemed very timely. (We got back last week.) I may write about it sometime soon!
