Lovely! When the peacock presents his plumes you can’t help but smile!

That’s right. One peacock walked right by me, then kept turning as if showing me his whole fan all around. It was so fun. Tried to get a picture, couldn’t quite keep up with his turn, but finally got a side view!

My daughter worked on “peacock” and other animals in speech therapy today. We’ve been enjoying your peacock pictures together! 😀 😀

When I was teaching, I worked closely with the speech therapist. I would say, it’s a challenging job, need patience!

Beautiful shots! I’m fortunate to live in a university campus that has peacocks roaming freely in the grounds…I’ve seen them up close, but rarely have I been blessed with the sight of them with their iridescent tail feathers spread out into a fan.😊

These one seems to do it freely, walking with the fanning tail feathers. Even the ones jumped on the second floor fanning while standing on the railing. That was such a pleasant visit!

I suppose they really love to fan their tail feathers.. Lovely sight!😊

They were so cute, so unassuming, casually walking around with the fanning tails. They were lovely!

LOVE the colors–and the dramatic fanning of tails.

They are just casually open and close, no assumption. They may not know that they have quality that is so admirable! I love watching them!

Yes, we love our visit. My husband lived there for two years when he was 11, 12 years old. We visited his house, and his school!

So fun! I used to see these at my aunt’s home in Rancho Palos Verdes. Their call can be very disturbing, but their appearance is beautiful.

Oh, they were so quiet during our visit. So I don’t know what it sounds like!

Thank you so much, now I know what they sound like! We have a lot of birds calling, chirping in the summer. Some start quite early. Winter is quieter for us.

Yes, when I go to the zoo, I always wait for them to open their fan tail, but never wait long enough to see it, but in this arboretum, there are many peacocks and they freely open their feathers!
