Road to Success
Success is not a destination but milestones.
Small goals set, reasonable and obtainable.
When all the tasks are well done,
Firm footing reaches milestone one.
Time to set next small goals.
Little more difficult but achievable.
When all challenges are gone through,
Strong Standing reaches milestone two.
There will be a lot more milestones
Waiting for you to reach
As long as you want to go.
Daily Prompt: Successful
Very inspiring and motivating! Would love to hear thoughts and feedback on my first official content piece about ‘a change for the better’ 😊 https://malisehoney.wordpress.com/2017/05/02/a-change-for-the-better/

Love how you combined self-development with poetry. Great idea. And agree with your view. Success is made by small steps that lead you to your ultimate goals. And each step achieved means some form of success.
Once you reach that ultimate goal, the happiness kinda dies down. So sometimes the chase itself, and the feeling of satisfaction from reaching your tiny prospects, is very fulfilling.
Trying to encompass all the prerequisites for a successful life, I wrote an article capturing some of the most important principles to maintain in life in order to achieve more success. Do have a look and tell me if you find it helpful. 🙂

Beautiful post, Miriam. Very inspiring – a solid foundation is step by step, isn’t it? Success is something I’m looking at right now. Thank you 🙂

I already completed it, Miriam. It varies – I studied for four h years. It’s a beautiful program, very experiential and expansive and full of love 💓

Absolutely – one step at a time is definitely not so overwhelming and yet keeps us moving forward to our dreams… x

Yes, I was in classroom for 14 years before transitioning to administration. I tried to reward students of every little success. It worked. My classes usually were welcome by the next grad teachers!

.The problem of reading you is that you can no longer find a sentence that is suitable to describe your inspiration embodied in a poem. I can only tell you that I always enjoy reading you

I love this, Miriam–very encouraging; makes me think of the verse where God promises He’ll finish the work He’s begun in us–each step by step of faith we take with Him ❤

That’s true, we may get lost?

I would for sure–no sense of direction whatsoever! 🙂

I have no sense of direction either. So one year, my hubby bought me a GPS for Christmas. Prior to that, if I get lost, I parked my car and called him for help! But at least I could look for the mountain as north and ocean as south.

Maybe I need a GPS…since I have no husband 🙂

Some smart phone would do. That’s what my daughter does for map and direction.

I don’t have a smart phone either–very low tech, here 🙂

GPS is easier to use than smart phone for directions!

You enter your home address. Then enter the addresses that you want to go. When you return, just touch the home icon.

Wow, sorry, your most welcome. Now where was I, oh yes. Wow, many, many thanks for all those likes, and of course your time. As for following me I thought I had my two sites connected, as is I haven’t, so most folk follow both, and they are ‘Mick Blog’ and ‘My Garden Biodiversity’, but at the end of the day the choice is yours. Take care – Mick

You message came in time to give me confirmation of my writing. A blogger uses translation to read my poem and said I can no long put a sentence of inspiration embodied in my poem. She might not have said what she wanted to say in English. I thought poem is not the same as essay. Well…just want to say “Thank You.”

Hey, you sound a little despondent? Rest assured translations only work if both parties are fluent in each others language. I’ve found that, (depending on what language), most times you a literal conversion…. tell you what, to show you what I mean I am going to find a WP link where I helped in the translation of a tanka in French to English, bare with me……I’ll be back…..

It is so true about translation. I worked with a guy, in a school district office, who was sure that he could use the translator to translate a letter into Chinese for the parents. He showed it to me. I tried so hard not to laugh! My husband love the movie “Lost in Translation.”

Yeah, how right you are. Still trying to find that French to English, (tanka), one I worked on….
