Full Moon – February 2017
Tonight when we were driving home after dinner at a restaurant, I saw the full moon rising up from the east. The sky was still blue and bright, because the sun was still setting on the west. I wish I had a video camera to film both the sun and the moon in the sky. But the sky was getting darker and darker. I just concentrated on taking the photos of the moon. From the first picture of the moon in the blue sky to the last picture of the moon in a completely dark sky, there was only a ten-minute period. I included the February, 2017 Moon Phases calendar, and a description of the Moon Phases. Source: https://stardate.org/nightsky/moon

I really like the Moon since a man sold it to me for $500.

Great photos! It’s so great when the sun and moon are in the sky at the same time isn’t it. Reminds me of my poem, “Shine”. The interplay of the relationship between the sun and moon is fun to explore! Lovely!!! Thanks for following!

Yes, I understand the timing is the essence. I’ve seen bloggers’ photos of the moon in a blue sky – it was at dawn, before the sun rises high. It was so beautiful. I have to look at your “Shine” poem.

I left some breadcrumbs on your blog, but couldn’t trace the “shine” poem!

Thank you. I love to take moon photos, but I am not as crazy as my friend who calls himself Lunatic because the Lunar calendar is moon calendar. He takes even more moon photos!

Reblogged this on emmapalova and commented:
Sleepless under the full moon
I suffer from insomnia on any given night, let alone when we have a full moon or a super moon.
This morning I woke up at 12:15 a.m. all giddy thinking it was at least 3 a.m. To my huge dismay after tossing around in bed for two hours, I got out of bed to find out that it was only 2: 30 a.m.
Even though I get a lot done in my head, the open sleepless nights are driving me nuts.
However, I credit them for many of my creative works like “Parnell White Nights” (c) 2017, manuscript in progress.
Stay tuned for updates.

I’m so excited to see it tonight. I live in London so I am thinking visibility will be poor with the light pollution we have.

Hope for the best. We have pollution also. It happened that we had many days of raining,it stopped yesterday. So I don’t know if I can see it tonight.

We had pouring rain. No moon in sight. I’m glad I took some photo the night before. I got up 2am and took a few more. But I won’t make another post. It was my second post about moon. I like to post different subjects. How did it go on your side? Did you have a clear sky?

Just saw the beautiful moon, as it is setting in the west. Looking forward to tonight’s full moon, and isn’t there an eclipse, too? 🙂

I have to research on it! Usually even the news would announce an eclipse. I haven’t heard yet!

Beautiful! It’s funny how we marvel at God’s work. I, too, took a pic of the moon through the trees as I was walking my dog in the woods last evening. It was indeed picturesque. ❤

My daughter married and no one thought to take their photo with a huge harvest moon in the background. Beautiful!

When did she get married? Did she get married when there was a harvest moon? So no one took their photo with the harvest moon in the background?

Right .It was February 6, 1993. I told her they should go back and take one. Maybe next year on their 25th!😄
