I’m quite enjoying my new found hobby and getting the feel of the brush. This is my 9th painting, since taking it up in February. I have the advantage of having many photographs to base the paintings on, though I take quite a bit of liberty in my interpretation of the final image. I also have the advantage of being able to photograph them and retaining all the true colors.

You are doing great Miriam. I once camped for a few nights in Algonquin and even did an over night hike complete with tent. I emerged two days later covered in very itchy and inflamed black fly bites. I was so glad to reach a chemist…

An overnight hike must be an adventure. I’m not a camping person. I did it several times, but not enjoying as much as my daughter. The bites are not fun. Glad you were okay!

Was just speaking with a client about how forgiving looks for them – it could be a poem, a painting, a mural, a deep process, a light one. Anyway, I love what you’re sharing. It’s inspirational.
