Cee’s Which Way Challenge – March 31, 2017
During the visit of our daughter and her husband, we went to Cathedral Park in Portland, Oregon. I took a few photos of the park and the bridge. The St. Johns Bridge is a steel suspension bridge that spans the Willamette River between the St. Johns neighborhood and the northwest industrial area. The bridge has two 408 feet tall Gothic Towers. The Cathedral Park is named after the Gothic Cathedral-like appearance of the bridge towers. It’s the tallest bridge in Portland.

such a powerful image. The shot taken down the boat ramp sent me chills. The water looks like it’s something to be careful of!

… such a power image of the bridge, I mean! I always appreciate bridges that look like they were architecturally designed rather than just functional. !

My son-in-law said the designer is the same who designed Golden Gate bridge. So wonderful it’s so impressive!

They write more free verses poetry. The new one I just post – Prudent Life, they would consider as poetry.

You have some marvelous photos from the park and of the bridge. I’ve only been there once and it was magical. It was so foggy driving the bridge was scary, but the photos I got inside the park that day were wonderful. I never did make it to the docks. Wonderful.

It was a little chilly. Only I got out of the car to take photos. Everyone was waiting for me in the warm car. I was running here and there to take a few from different angles with your challenge in mind. I took several layer of the base of the towers though. It was very pretty. We just went to St. Johns area for lunch. I’m glad my son-in-law drove by thinking I might want to take photos!!

The photographs are lovely. I’ve never lived near Portland, I’m on the other side of the coast, but had a friend who lived near there for most of her life. It’s good to see the scenery of the place.
