Cathedral Towers
In my recent post, I posted a few photos of Cathedral Park and St. Johns Bridge, Portland Oregon. For this challenge, I post a couple more up close photos of the architecture of the Towers. My attempt was to capture from different distances of the Towers to align waves of the cusps, the pointed ends at the top where two curved sides meet. It’s a magnificent Bridge with unusual Gothic Cathedral style of Towers.
Daily Prompt: Cusp
Nice angle and great shot!

You’re welcome! I should have some photos of the Golden Gate Bridge, but I’m afraid it was pre-digital!!

Is the what it looks like without dense fog. I can see why it is called cathedral park. 😀 Excellent.

Cee, yes. That’s what it looks like. No sun but has some light from the sky. rain stopped. Yes, the park is named after the cathedral towers. Again, my son-in-law pointed out the wonderful views of the towers.

It is indeed a magnificent bridge, and the second time today I see it mentioned in a post. I’ll take that as a sign I should visit 🙂 -Verne

Hi Verne, I was told that the same designer also designed Golden Gate bridge in San Francisco!!

Ah, that explains the allure! Would that be Joseph Strauss?

Strauss designed the Golden Gate Bridge and worked with a team of Architects to build it. I need to look up more for St. John’s Bridge.
