Cee’s Fun Foto: Harvest – Earth
When I started gardening, I mixed the original soil with good soil, added nutrient. Then I planted most flowers. Some flowers grow well better than others. Some green plants go crazy so I separated them and transplant to different areas in my garden.
Years ago, I only had the orange tree from previous owner. I started to grow other fruit trees and seasonal vegetables. The fruits have been growing well. These are two crops a years for the oranges. Each crop has three or four hundreds of oranges.
We are having fresh squeezed orange juice every morning.
For the plums, I only got about 30 plums last year. With the right timing of bees to pollinate, I think there’ll be a couple hundred this year. I’m so pleased that the apple blossoms and the grape vine show promising harvest this summer.
Young plums and Red Delicious apple blossoms
Young grapes, and young oranges when we are still picking the current crop
Cee’s Photography Late Summer is time of harvest, a time of plenty, of reaping what we have worked for throughout the year. The plants and animals have grown and produced the fruit of their labour.

Thank you, Teresa. I need to research on how to preserve or dehydrate them, and how to take out the pits first!

Oh! There might be a plum pitting device. I know there is one for pitting cherries!

I remember seeing people dehydrate fruits in Oregon. I wonder if I can find a machines to do that. With oranges, we can squeeze juice every day. But I don’t think I can eat all the plums all at once. I’m excited to have so many, but trying to think how to keep them!

OH how lovely – freshly squeezed orange juice from your home grown oranges must be absolutely lovely. We don’t have the weather here in the UK for citrus fruits.. you’re very lucky. xx

I know, even in Portland wher my daughter and her husband live, doesn’t have the weather to grow citrus either. Do you have any local fruits?

I would love to grow a pear tree. My garden space is limited. I always get dwarf trees. I’ll check out if it’s available for pear trees!

Yes, my daughter went to the acupuncture. They also recommend certain food to eat, she found out that she has been eating them because that’s part of my diet or drink, etc… She and her husband are vegetarians, so it’s not hard for them to add other vegetables on the list!

Wow! I really liked the photo of orange tree laden with fresh juicy oranges. 🙂
We have two mango trees at home. Apart from that, there are two coconut trees, a breadfruit tree and a star fruit tree. Mum’s got a litchi plant recently, and she’s waiting for it to grow. 😀
Nothing tastes good as freshly plucked fruits. Last year we got around 300mangoes from each tree, and we used to have mango for desserts after lunch and dinner. 😀

You must live in Asia. When we went to Bangkok, there were all kind of fruits new to me! I love mango and litchi. We drink coconut milk. I don’t know the other two fruits. Post the photos and attach a link to your post for me. I love to see what they look like!

Yes, I live in India.
I haven’t written anything or posted photos about the other two fruits, when I do, I will let you know. breadfruit is available even in places like Philippines and Hawaii. It looks like a jackfruit, but smaller and has a smooth outer skin when compared to a jackfruit.

The pics are so beautiful. We have an orange and lemon tree, but they are still small. They are only 5-7 years old. How old is your orange tree?

It was there when we moved in 25 years ago. It was mature then. So the tree is at least 35 years old. I didn’t take care of it the first 10 years, then started watering and add plant food to the soil!
