“It’s good! The wait wasn’t too long.”
“Yes, we got here in time to beat the crowd. The after work traffic is getting worse. Every minute counts, especially on Fridays.”
“I had a hectic week at work. Thank God the weekend is here!”
“I look forward to the weekend too.”
“I like the way you set your hair, now I can see more of your beautiful face!”
“Oh, thanks, just wanted to try something different! Did you notice that gentleman there? He used to come with his wife! He is here alone. I wonder what happened to his wife!”

I thought a lot about the elderly man in the foreground. What is his story — maybe his wife {lover?} got up to powder her nose? His nose? With loads of oysters there, he could totally be eating alone, but maybe…. Thank you so much for joining us again this week ❤

Yes, it could be all of those. We go to tgif (are they in Seattle?) often. Two separate guys were there alone. Their wives were not interested joining them!! Nice photo!

Interesting!! I have been to that restaurant before, but not any I know of in Greater Seattle 😉 I just see those oysters — my husband isn’t an oyster eater, so I could totally go without him 😉 Clever!

I feel the same way also. I have almost daily conversation with quite a few bloggers. Especially with the ones that are on the same time zone!

Oh I love to see it. I saw the one the Cee did. It was like colorful blankets.

Okay, now, this is not funny, but my husband and I talked about hoping (with loving intention) the other one goes first, because the one who is left behind will suffer the loss!

We all at some point of time have to face it. Sad!

I think I’m the stronger one, but will leave it to God!

Wonderful dialogue for the photo… But I feel very sad for the older gentleman. Of course, I think I know what happened to his wife, and it makes me teary-eyed. At least he is still coming to the restaurant, even if he does have to dine alone. Again, very good conversation to make a flash-fiction story out of the picture!

Thank you for reading my imagination. We do see a few men dining alone. We asked, they said their wives have different preference. So we know they are okay. But what you think could have sadly happened!

Ah! That is much better. Now I don’t feel so sad… Having a different preference is a much happier answer to why he was dining alone!
