I can’t say that we are health nuts, but both my husband and I are health conscious. We try to be on nutritional diet.
I have a Nutrition Chart given to me by my daughter. She happened to have a spare one. I taped it on the inside of the cupboard door. It’s convenient for me to open the door and refer to the chart on a regular basis.
About ten days ago, my husband wondered if we were getting enough iron and calcium from food. When he studied my Nutrition Chart, he found out that Kale is rich in iron and calcium plus other nutrients, celery could lower blood pressure, and berries are rich in antioxidant. The conversation went on to talk about the benefits of certain vegetables and fruits. We went shopping for fresh vegetables and a large volume of mixed berries in a Ziploc bag.
He uses the blender to blend in kale, celery, mixed berries and other dark green vegetables to make smoothies. He makes enough for 4 glasses. Each of us has one drink in the morning and one in the evening.
That sounds really good. I know what you mean when you wonder about nutrients. I just got over a six week cold, and a week later I came down with another one, so I have been sick for the last month and a half. This is terrible. I hope to come up with a solution soon.
I think what happened is that I thought the flu season was over and stopped taking my supplements.
If you want a good protein shake with no fillers I have the shake for you. I take it, it’s mostly plant based, good for weight loss and building muscles. This shake has everything that is good for you in it, all natural, including probiotics. The only problem is that it isn’t cheap.

In Estonia smoothies at the moment ” complicated ” topic, beacuse of sugars (you get too much sugar too quickly). I am happy to see more and different recipes, which using seeds and vegetables.
We put flat seeds in it. I think my husband puts more veggies than fruits, that why it has more green color. Sugar keeps me awake, but I drank mine at 8pm, was able to go to sleep. You can create your own recipe with more veggies!
It’s a easy way to get the most out of the juice. Yes, a blender can blend different things. Just came home from Souplantation, a restaurant with soup and salad. It takes a long time to chew.
He put equal portion of kale, celery, tomato, carrot, and the mixed berries. The berries and carrot are sweet. So doesn’t taste the kale too much. I like the way he blended them. It takes a lot time to chew all the vegetables!

You can try a different mixture. I like to look at the chart and see what minerals and vitamins I need then find the food I like to use! Hope you make one that you like!

I made it for my daughter using more fruits. It is very tasty.

I’m sure she likes it. Drinking is easier than eating a lot of fruits. Before sheknows it, she took in good nutrients!
