I want to thank Teresa Baker at https://theresabarkerlabnotes.com who encouraged me to try different Poem Form. The link below provides the pattern for today’s poem.
Miriam, I love the sense of repetition in this poem! – I read it “standalone” without thinking intentionally about the Pantoum pattern. And I enjoyed that you connected the topic – letter in a bottle – with the repetitive form, which made it feel like waves of the ocean. Thank you for taking the time to try a new form and to share it with us! 😉
Thank you, Teresa! That’s the trick, after following the pattern, when it’s read, it should flow. MY first draft, the final stanza didn’t flow, almost didn’t make sense. It was a good practice. I’ll try your other one next!!
Yeah!! Do it, because as you do it, every moment you go on to be better, and do one more thing, actually a favor, read my story-only_to_let_her_know and tell me how you feel about it….
Thank you Subbashini! I had the example next to me, and check the lines many times, almost like doing math, but also has to be poetic!! Some challenge!!

I deleted three lines and rewrite them to make more sense in the last stanza!

Thank you so much! The first draft, it didn’t quite make sense in the 4th stanza, so I had to change and rearranged a few lines. It was fun!
