Tuesday Photo Challenge – Street
Frank’s theme this week is Street.
When I first watched the movie “The Italian Job,” those narrow streets fascinated me. I was so impressed by the drivers maneuvered the Mini Coopers through those narrow streets.
Our trip to Spain allowed me to visit those narrow streets. Some streets did have cars going up and down, except that the pedestrians must be very attentive when cars going through.
This street took us to The Mosque–Cathedral of Córdoba also known as the Great Mosque of Córdoba.
In Valencia, we had an afternoon free. We were roaming on the street to find a restaurant for an early dinner.
We were on this street before visiting the Cave Houses – houses that are constructed inside of caves.

My Dear, This was a great post! Loved the streets. Yes, You and I had the same reaction to those driving scenes in the “Italian Job”, good movie!
I just wanted to let You know how very much I am indebted to You for the Poem that resulted from Your “Tunnel of Music” and Your inspirational and gentle nudge that ended up in me writing ” A Special Time With Him”, the poem about My Dad. I have scheduled it for posting on Friday the 16th. I hope You will take the time to come see what Your blessed encouragement helped bring to blossom!
Bless You My Dear!!!!

Beautiful imagery. What’s the story behind the cloth covering the street?

That’s for shading because Spain is very hot! Isn’t it wonderful? I guess only street are narrow enough to make it possible to have miles of shades!

Thank you, Teresa! You’re a great supporter! I had some urgent matter, didn’t get to do the poem. My 40 years old Singer sewing machine broke all the bobbins, I had to run around to find one that is the right model. Got some wrong one, need to return, but got some correct one, eventually.

No! That’s terrible about the bobbins. Great news you were able to locate some new ones. Having a beloved tool for your work is important.

I was going to buy a new sewing machine, bu my friends who sew a lot said my machine is good, still can to all the fancy things they do. So I’ll keep it. 40 years old Singer. It maybe and antique someday!

Absolutely. I agree! Plus, it’s had all the years of being your partner in sewing, it’s like it has built up that loving and effective partnership with you, maybe it is invested with good sewing “karma”!

I had a good use of it for many years. Made Halloween costumes for my daughters and costumes for her broadway show -Wizard of Oz, and The Sound of Music, and countless mending….

Those cave houses are intriguing. Loved the Spanish journey through its streets.

We visited one – as part of the tour. The owner bought certain cave space, and he could sell part of it for others to build a home. I don’t know how it works – who owns the mountain and the caves in the first place…

Ah. The concept reminds me of the cave quarters in Granada though they look completely different. These ones look more grand 🙂

Yes, what a clever way to build houses in them, keep them cool. Spain was hot when we were there. No business was open from 2 to 5 pm except a few in tourist area!

Yes, Carly, you live in a beautiful, and romantic country. We had such a wonderful time. I have to check your posts see if you made an progress. As for me, somehow if I control my high blood pressure, it reduces the intensity of the ringing!

Hello Miriam. Yes, I am on a low salt diet for my ear problems…it hasn’t really helped me…but I think it helps many others 🙂 I’m glad you’ve found something that can help !

Hi Miriam. I have so many appointments with different people! I’ll keep you posted 🙂 …yes, I’d like a break, but I don’t want to give up on finding some help for the constant pressure I feel in my ear and head.
Take care

I know how it feel. Two nights ago the ringing was so loud that I felt like my head was going to explode. With such bright and constant stimulation, there was no way I could fall asleep. I used the wooden pegs to rub my head, used my fingers to put pressure on different points of my skull, and cuffed my ear, and rubbed my ear – anything I could think of. Finally I exhausted myself and fell asleep. Miriam

Hi Miriam. I also rub my head when my tinnitus gets loud…I can feel the relation between the tinnitus and the muscles and pressure points in my head…this is why I’m trying alternative help to see if will make a difference…I’ll let you know how I get on! Take care Miriam x

Yes, please let me know whatever you find out. I went to bed with hissing, but woke up with loud ringing. I can’t figure out what cause the difference! Miriam

I will do 🙂 It is my mission to understand the tinnitus I’m experiencing and the pressure in my ears …I’ll be an expert by the end of this 😉

It’s something positive to look forward to. The youtube my husband watched last night linked high blood pressure to tinnitus. Perhaps for some, it would be the case. At least for mine, it has some connection, but not all!

You’re right Miriam. It’s about finding what can limit your own tinnitus…I’m sure there are many reasons for it.

Yes, for now, I’ll be taking the med for blood pressure and exercise to strengthen my heart. Then see what else I need to do.

Beautiful! I loved that movie as well. Seeing the streets in person must have been amazing! The pedestrians must be very sharp or the drivers very careful to share the narrow streets like that 🙂

Yes, all the windows have rod iron bars. I don’t blame them. You can jump from one window to the window across the street! Imagine that….!

‘wonderful photos. It’s amazing how something as simple as ‘streets’ can be so beautiful and full of character.

Yes, I wonder if they are from the ancient time. Many of the cathedrals in Spain are built inside of the Muslim structure – they kept the shell, rebuilt inside. There are many Roman structures left also. The modern streets may not have those characters I think!
