Sunday Tree #291
This is my entry for Sunday Trees at Becca Given’s “On Dragonfly Wings with Buttercup Tea”
In our neighborhood, there were many old trees with roots breaking up the sidewalks. The cities decided to remove those trees many years ago. Some of the trees were chosen to replace the old trees. Magnolia is among the choices. There are many species of magnolia. The common one in our neighborhood is the one with thin trunks. The flowers are in darker pink, lighter pink and white. They are in bloom this time of the year. It’s a pleasant drive up and down the street with pretty flowers on both side.

Beautiful. They look so different than the magnolia in my yard.

Absolutely stunning. I have a very small white magnolia.

It doesn’t grow too fast, and that’s good. My psalm trees are getting so tall that I have to get on the step stool to trim them. I have 18, so far, I trim one or two a day. How tall is your magnolia?

Thank you Robbie. I think the cities planted them for practical purpose and I’m glad they are pretty!
