What a lovely fat little bird. I’m sure she is very grateful to you for helping to protect her second clutch of eggs. I hope you do get to see them hatch. Then you will have to help her raise the chicks!
Hahahaha, she won’t let me, I’m afraid! Last year, I did help the Robbins raised their chicks. I found some earthworms and leave them in a little dirt, put it by the nest. The mama bird did take it. The chicks grew so fast, the nest was too small for 4 chicks. They flew away before the mama came back. She could make anything out of it. Poor robbin!
Heartlessly stole the eggs to satisfy one meal.
Don’t you know it is lives and happiness you stole.
What a simple reason that destroys a life.
Shows your kindness and sympathy ma’am.
As always I love your pics
Thank you so much. When they first came last year, I did a research and I got the image of grey jay. I have been calling them grey jay, but I looked up Mourning dove, they have the same spots as my birds, so you’re right. I need to make correction! Thank you again.

I hope her babies do well this year. It’s sad what happened last year.

Yes, surely hope so. The window frame decorated with stones. I don’t think the squirrel can climb up there!
