Relationships grow so much stronger if they can survive the storms life has to offer. I love the metaphors and descriptiveness of your row boat, the analogies to the relationship, and the fruition of that perseverance ❤ You always delight with your writing — thank you so much for sharing it with our wonderful writing community 🙂
Yes, I take my writing intentionally. Sometimes I don’t respond to the prompts, challenges right away because I want to write something meaningful to myself, at least! Thank you for the comment!
Hmm you will definitely be feeling good and spanking new after this. That cathartic feeling that a spot of cleaning brings along with it is quite tangible 🙂
Thank you Elizabeth! You’re lucky when you have a handful (count fingers) of close friends in the same boat. Then you have social friends, then you have acquaintance.
I don’t have too many close friends wither. I have a whole bunch of good friends. I’m invited to most of parties, weddings, showers. But close friends with heart to heart conversation, I don’t have too many!
I know how important it is to have at least a few close friends, so I had coached my daughter to develop the friendships. Now she feels comfortable to share critical things with a few close friends. I’m one of them, so I’m not there most of the times. So I’m glad she could have a cup of coffee with friends close by and talk!
Hi Dwight, disaster can take people in all kinds of directions! Even little things can enhance or destroy relationship. I have been in both situations and in different boats. Thank you for your comment! Miriam

Oh yes. And there is a party on the night of the 5th atop our building, so looking forward to that 😉 What are your plans? xx

Haha, no parties. We are painting the interior of the house – 4 out of 7 rooms plus hallway!

Hard work! You can certainly unwind with good food, and the sight of the painted rooms after, shall surely be your reward xx

Yes, in fact, force me to do dusting, tidying, and decluttering when I put things back after painting!

That is always the good, and time consuming, task! If only it was watching paint dry 😉 Good Luck finishing your project 🙂

The painting is done. The reorganizing may take longer than painting. 🙂

Yes. I’m generally not a terribly trusting person so it can be hard to find really close friends.

That’s probably true of most people. Close friends are few.

That’s a wonderful thing. Not being able to afford going out has cost me my friends. It’s so good your daughter has people she can talk with!
