Cee’s Share Your World – July 3, 2017
Cee has another week of fun questions for Share Your World.
-
For your main meal do you prefer sweet and sour, hot and spicy, spicy and sweet, bitter, salty, bland or other?
When we eat at home, we eat bland food. I use very little salt in my cooking. For the last six months or so, we have steam salmon with no salt, no spice for dinner several times a week.
When we eat out and order an entrée, I want my salad dry (Plain); for a drink, I want hot water.

Where do you hide junk when people come over?
We keep our junk to the minimum. I have seen neighbors park their cars in the driveway because the garage is filled with junk. I can never figure out why people have so much junk. Perhaps coming from a highly populated city of Hong Kong, I have the habit of not to acuminate junk.
Our Family Room is also my office. The closet is my library. When I have company, my library is the room where I hide a few things. I don’t like to hide things though. When they are not in their usual places, I can’t find them.

What daily habit would you like to introduce to your life?
I’m retired. Sometimes I can’t tell whether the day is a weekday or weekend. I check my calendar constantly for any upcoming appointments. I have a few fixed schedule, but I pretty much go with the flow for the day, such as gardening, go to the beach with Lynton, or go out with friends. I’m satisfied with the habits I have established over the years.

If you were to perform in the circus, what would you do?
There is no way that I do the main act of any kind in the circus. I might be able to dress up in a fancy costume, put different funny songs together to do a sing and dance.

I think it’s a habit. Most of the Chinese dishes are vegetable based and garnished with some meat. So I was raised not eating so much meat. For my husband, the first 10 years of his Australian life, he was a vegetarian. So it is not hard for us to eat healthy food. It’s a choice. Whatever you prefer would be fine with you!

I drink hot or room temperature water. Hot especially in the mornings. I enjoyed reading your responses this week. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for the “like”, for some reason your lovely posts are not coming up on my feed, your “like” prompted me to pop by and see what you are up to! I love this, “share your world” piece, it’s very illuminating!

Thank you for popping over! You may want to add my “new” link to your Reader. I made a little change on my URL, so we bloggers who follow my old link, may not receive the posts from the new link! Thank you for your comment!

Even if I like my food spicy and salty, I still find the salad appetizing. I love avocado and shrimp! I don’t have a habit which in my case is not good as I’m still far from retirement. I can’t wait for it to be honest. I wish to have more time to write and take pictures. Aside from my fixed working schedule, my free time is pretty much go with the flow. But I know I need to establish a schedule to be able to use my time wisely. By the way, the cat in the bag melt my heart. So cute!

I forgot to comment about your neat and pretty garden. I wish I had the talent for gardening like my mom who can make flowers grow effortlessly but sadly, I’m a city girl and never had a backyard growing up. The only time I remember planting was during fifth grade. It was a monggo bean. Hahaha!

When I was a kid, we lived in a small quarter. My dad put the green house plants hanging out in the balcony. When the plants got bigger, he transplanted them in a bigger pot with fine potting soil. After I came to US and has more land around the house, the first thing I wanted to do is to plant flowers and green plants!

Thank you for commenting the cat. I almost forgot I had that picture. Someone email it to me at work, probably 10 years ago!

Such a lovely post, Miriam. I also eat my salads without dressing and like plain food – except for cake [smile.

Thank you, Elaine, for your comment. If we didn’t have the house paid off, I don’t mind move to an apartment or condo!
