Thursday’s Special – Pick a Word Y2
“It is the first week in July and it is time for another PICK A WORD theme. Here are the words to choose from: soaring, gaiety, prostrating, ephemeral and colossal.” – Paula at Lost in Translation
I pick the word “ephemeral.” The representation is the beautiful but short life of a flower.
Hibiscus
Blooms today,
Withers tomorrow.
Gorgeous color,
Lives just one day.
What a pity!
Why not stay?
It has no worry,
Nature was made.
When it’s alive,
It lives fully.
Gives it all,
For Creator’s glory!

Sweet poem Miriam! How you manage to be an all rounder 😊

It has been my struggle in my youth. When people only recognized my artistic side, I complained to myself why people didn’t recognize my intellectual side. When I became an administrator for 10 year, nobody knew that I could sing. I should be thankful that God allowed me to have 5 to 10 years to concentrate on each side of the brain. Now I’m retired, I have fun to tape on both sides of the brain. Thank you for your comment!

That’s quite a journey! God has great plans for everyone. See today you are spreading magic is every field, be it a mom or devoted wife or a loving daughter apart from your other skills! I’m really happy for you 😘❤️

I see a lot of compassion and observation in you! The electric company in doing repairing, may shut off the power in any minutes!

I took another photo this morning it has relaxed a bit. I will wash and curl it again tomorrow before we go away for a few days, John will help me do the back 😳 I have to say I am loving the change…… how’s the decorating going ?

Oh I’ll come over and look at your new picture. It takes John no time to get used to it. He even helped. You may get a perm if your like it enough. We finished painting all the rooms and hallway upstairs. Take a break for a week. We miss working out. Then resume on the follwing week

😳 are you doing the whole house ! I don’t think I would have a perm because I like to be able to change it back to straight again. John is used to it now and thinks it’s better 🌹

No, not the whole house. We’ll do the hallway plus the livingroom. Lynton likes the color in the kitchen and the family room (my office). That’s fine, I picked that color in our last painting 8 or 9 years ago!

Thank you so much. One day morning I was drinking coffee in my garden looking at the hibiscus. That question came to my mind? Why just lives one day!
