In the year 1998, I was promoted to be a 12-month school district administrator from a 10-month teacher position. Administrators had 22 vacation days a year, plus 10 days of personal or sick leave.
During my time of working, we were able to acuminate vacation days as many as we wanted. Some administrators acuminated enough days to retired one year early and received pay for the last year as vacation time. Some would cash-in the vacation days. I used some of the days for travel and saved some. The district policy had changed later on. Administrators being hired after a certain year, the vacation days were accumulative up to two years. They either used them or lost them.
Well, after I graduated from my doctorate program in the year 2000, with more than six weeks vacation time a year, my husband and I have traveled to quite a few countries and states. I started to get the dates confused. I decided to make a collage for each travel, and hang them on the wall as a quick reminder of where we have been. It works well. Here are some examples.
I use the templates that the photo company provided. I don’t have credit making the collages. They have templates for different numbers of photos, I uploaded accordingly, and clicked until I liked the arrangements….!! Thank you for liking them!
Yes, do you mean doing the photo collage? I used the templates from the photo services. I didn’t put them together, the computer did, I only upload the photos!
Oh, I just use the template of a photo company. I picked a template of 6, 9, 12… photos, upload photo, click the rotations of arrangement until I got one arrangement I liked and click proceed. (I did it manually on Publisher before I discovered the templates).
Thank you so much for the correction. I did the editing and found a few more thins. It’s Nice to have you around to watch out for me. I tried to be careful not to post anything with misspellings or missinforformation. Thank you again. I appreciate it.
Yes, it was easy. I went on Costco Photo, picked a template, upload photos, click, click until I like one arrangement, then click okay. I ended up making many.
Thank you for liking them, Xenia. They have been on the wall long enough. I’ll redecorate the walls after house painting. So the photos will go into the album.
SO AWESOME Miriam. I love these collages – perfectly matches the photo challenge 🙂 Seems like you and your husband had some amazing vacations. Love that.
Blessings and Love to you both, Miriam — Debbie 🙂 (and big smiles!)
Thank you Debbie! We did have some wonderful vacations going places. We are thinking about Norway or Ireland for our next trip. We don’t know when. Love, Miriam
Yes, we did. I only posts some. We took many trips. My daughter is having her first baby in September. We may not go on a long trip this year. I’ll visit my daughter more often. She is in Portland. I’m in souther CA.
That is great idea. Many photo company like Shutterfly or other companies let you create photo books with template. My daughter wants to start doing that!
