100 Word Wednesday: Week 27

“Cities are getting better in designating areas for skateboarding, and mountain biking. Clubs could organize competitions.”
“Yeah, I remember the days when No Skateboarding signs were everywhere.”
“True, I remember those signs! Some kids rode their skateboards and looped up and down on my driveway.”
“Mountain biking has the same problem! City kids are not close to the biking trails. It’s hard for them to practice!”
“It’s dangerous for them to ride the bikes and hop around on the streets.”
“I was so please that the city council listened and open this mountain biking park! My daughter is in competition!”

I love doing that. When I took writing course, that was what I did. I was assigned to an age level, and number of words. So I write in the language to the age. Continue to edit until it’s down to the exact number of words. I had a personal instructor doing editing for me. I also receive literature about punctuations, especially in dialogue that I still refer back to, Since the words are limited, every word counts. So when I do writing or poem, I try not to use empty words.

Wow, awesome! Any kind of facility that allows kids to go outside and play in a safe environment is perfect!

A dialogue is necessary in all community when ‘those kids’ are _____________. People in charge, parents, citizens, finding a place for the children to be themselves will find more children following their passions and less children feeling left out, ostracized, by their interests. Community engagement should extend further than the businesses you can coddle. Excellent as always — thanks for taking a break from painting to join us again this week 🙂 I’m so happy to have you back!

Thank you. In a way, it’s decluttering also. Something I do gradually.

It’s a constant process! I use the Kon Mari method of thanking the objects, then releasing them from my home – either donation, recycling, or trash 😊

I still have my daughter’s preschool projects. She said, “Mom, take a photo, then recycle it.” That’s what I have been doing.”

That’s what I’m working on too–and really paring down what I even take photos of! They’re more our memories than theirs 😊

That’s is so true! She laughs at my sentiment with pride. The little clay pot she painted at Girl Scout, has broken, but the pieces are still at my front porch safe and sound! 🙂

It is great when the council builds facilities for people to exercise and enjoy themselves.
