Coffee
The culprit
Many hours awake
Having fun writing Elfije’s
Yawning
Love a cuppa coffee, love your tanka too.
I know you’ve liked some of my Elfje poems for which I am most graceful, I know your interested in different formats, so I you might be interested in this too, a link https://simplyelfje.wordpress.com/about/ Hope you likes my Elfje reply 🙂
Somehow I came across that form before, or another form similar to that. There is a form that shape like a diamond, but I can’t remember any rules goes with that form.
Oh, I do need the discipline. We had a get together last weekend. When it came to dessert, I took a “stamp” size of each of the four. The ladies are used to see me doing that, but they still laugh!
Thank you, Elsie! How do I find your previous prompts. You have been hosting this for a year, I would like to find all of your prompts and try to write more!
Somehow I like Tanka better than Haiku. It can tell a short story. More work doing Haiku. I did some and I tried to make every word counts. Thank you for the link!

Stay awake is not good for you. I surely don’t like it but sometimes I can’t help it. The Elfje is interesting. I’ll write one soon. Thanks!!

Pleased your interested in the Elfje format, look forward to reading yours, have a great weekend,

I must say, Miriam, that I usually sleep very well but caffeine at night does also disturb my rest. I also try to stay away from coffee after 5pm.

Yes, Robbie, 5pm is about the right time I stop having coffee and sweet. At least the days are gone when I needed coffee to keep me up until 2am….
