Sunday Tree – 300
We went on the Fullerton City Downton Tour yesterday. Right in the middle of the town, this tree is preserved. A planter is built around to protect its roots and the surrounding space can be used for sidewalks.

Hi Miriam, fun photos of this intriguing tree! My sister used to live in Fullerton, about 15 years ago. Just a couple of miles from Disneyland. So fun to see you’d visited there!

Yes, we can hear the Disney firework every night. We were glad to do the downtown tour, discovered something we didn’t know for 25 years living so close by!

Lovely tree! So much character in those roots.

Thank you! It must be a hundred-year old tree or even older. The original ground probably was higher.

I’m happy we did the walk. I didn’t notice the tree driving up and down the road for 25 years!

Yes; walking is not just a good exercise but also good for exploring what’s around!
One day when walking with my daughter to the park, she discovered that some trees have got many feet!
Children’s imagination!
Whenever we look at the photo, it is not just her but I too start thinking and seeing the roots as feet! 😀

My link doesn’t show Sunday Trees. I was curious. Then I found out that I didn’t give it a title when I published it – too anxious to show the tree trunk. I added the title but can’t change the original link…

What a beautiful and old tree, Miriam. I have seen a few like this in the Company Garden’s in Cape Town.

This must be very old, keeps trimming the top. The roots are as tall as the branches.
