When we were at Valencia, Spain, we visited the most amazing, contemporary, and futuristic structures designed by the Spanish architect, Santiago Calatrava Valls. He is a Spanish neofuturistic architect, structural engineer, sculptor and painter. His design is so refreshing compared with the traditional Spanish architecture.
Ah Calatrava of the Oculus fame. Now I see that he has a weakness for such designs. Your shots are perfect, Miriam. They capture the bizarre (and the fascinating) so well. xx
Such a unique piece of architecture. Its rare and particular design reminds me of the Barcelona Torre Agbar. Another unique piece of architecture in Spain.
Thanks for sharing. Not enough people are aware of this structure and usually don’t visit Valencia when travelling to Spain.

You’re welcome. I can understand that. People seem to like to visit Barcelona or Granada.

Hey Miriam,
Great photos. Am bewildered though. I’ve lived in Seville for 12 years and never seen this place, where is it?
Thanks

It’s at the sea front of Seville. I think it’s only at such area as sea front let the architect use his creativity without the limit of space.

It’s by the beach so the architect could take as much space as he wants, I think.

It’s the huge bullet shaped building. You can’t miss it. We stayed right next door to it. And at night it lights up in different colours. 😊
