Tuesday Photo Challenge – Signs
My daughter Mercy just called me two hours ago. Her baby is showing signs of readiness to meet the parents and the new world. She went to the doctor today. She started having contractions and is dilated to 4 cm.
Hooray! I’m so happy for her. I’m home for a few days to take care of some business right now, but we are going back to Portland, Oregon tomorrow morning. We’ll meet our grandchild in the next day or two.
I pray for a smooth delivery.

Thank you very much, Meenakshi! I’m thankful that the complication was minimum even though the doctor’s decision was a c-section. Both my daughter and the baby are doing well right now!

I know. For a while the night before the birth. I have a need of intensive prayer for half an hour. That was the time when the doctor mentioned about the possibility of c-section. After that, I felt relied. The baby tried to come out but couldn’t because the cord wrapped around her. So she stopped trying. By 1:00 am, the doctor ordered the c-section. The baby swallowed some fluid, but not too much to cause any damage. The doctor had the fluid sucked out. Yes, indeed, God is watching. Anything could have happened! Thank you for your prayer for us!!! 💛 😅

I remember my days in the hospital. Some nurses just want to get their jobs done. I don’t blame them. But some are flexible of giving another 1/2 if patients are sleeping.

It’s tough waiting — of course, with my first child I finally hit the ‘nesting’ mode right before I went into labor 😉

She heard so many friends and strangers saying the first child can be up 10 days late, so she was okay with waiting. 🙂

I was too! My doctor ran the computer test which provided me a due date about a week earlier than what he thought I’d have in his experience — and of course, my doctor was right!
