The theme for Tuesday Photo Challenge is Delicious!
My husband likes ultra-thin crust pizza. All the pizzas we have had in the restaurants or bought from the stores are not thin enough for him. When we visited Mercy, Will, and Autumn during Christmas, we finally went to a restaurant in Portland, Oregon that makes ultra-thin crust pizza to his liking.
Last year, He started making homemade pizza. He watched videos to get different recipes. He only gave me the ingredients of his first recipe. Since then he kept a secret for the changes he made in the subsequent attempts. By the fifth try, he considered that he had perfected his recipe for his desired thinness and taste of the crust.
As for toppings, he always wants extra cheese and extra pepperoni. Eating too much cheese upset my stomach, so my portion of the pizza was always different, depending on the vegetables available in the refrigerator. I used to like Canadian beacon, so for the first try, I asked to have a thin layer of cheese with pineapple pieces. Subsequently, when he made pizza again, I chose different vegetable toppings on my portion.
Whatever secret recipe he has, his homemade pizza is super delicious. Oh, we made blackberry pie to go with the pizza.
My daughter and son-in-law are vegetarians. When they make pizza, they make individual pizza and let everyone picks own toppings. I prefer veggie also!
He makes the dough then divides up into portions. Each portion is for one pizza. He then put them in the freezer. When making pizza, he just takes out one portion to thaw. The rolling and adding toppings don’t take too long.
This is quite the meal. That pizza is good looking. I don’t think the crust can get any thinner than that lol. I’m guilty when it comes to liking very thin crust myself.
Yes,you’re right, It can’t get thinner than that. We try to taking in less bread and other carbohydrate. That’s the idea behind it. Thank you for your comment!!
WOW, Thin crust pizza and blackberry pie. They all look so yummy. 🙂 I’m a big fan of thin crust, it doesn’t have too much Carb and makes the topping more delirious.
Oh my God, Miriam, this definitely looks delicious! Good for your husband for learning how to make pizza. The pie is an excellent touch 🙂 🙂 Love you! Debbie ❤
Yum! 😍 Haha, I love extra cheese, but I’m not a fan of pepperoni. I’d much rather have vegetables too! And blackberry pie. You are making me so hungry this morning! 😂
😂 I would have pizza for breakfast. I have many times before. Sometimes leftover pizza not even reheated, just right out of the refrigerator. People have told me it’s disgusting. 😅
I did that this morning with chicken and rice. Couldn’t wait. 😅
And after all this talk about pizza, I asked my mom if we could cook a frozen pizza for dinner. I was craving it! 😂 I’m sure it’s not as good as a homemade pizza though. But it satisfied my craving.
Ah. 🙂 I usually get the thickest crust possible, but I got a thin crust last time because I didn’t see a spinach and mushroom pizza with a thick crust.
Definitely so! My mom said, “I’ll cook whatever you want, just tell me.” She’s an amazing cook and is so nice to do that for me. ❤ However, I couldn't taste anything then, so I didn't see a point in her cooking one of my favorite meals and then not being able to enjoy it. 😅 I'm grateful that I can taste again!
WOW the pizza looks so tasty! AND blackberry pie. What a blessing. I love thin crust also, for me its all about the toppings. If the crust is regular, all I taste is crust. :):) God bless you Miriam :):)
Homemade is always best in our opinion. Simply because we will put in the toppings as we like and in quantities we desire. Its not a business, so there is no holding back on the amount of cheese etc that one would put on!
God night

the pizza looks good but I’d pass on the pepperoni. I’d do a veggie one but that’s me.

It does look like nice pizza. I have my own recipe, mine’s low quality but quick. How long does it generally take to make a pizza like that?

I think you can afford taking in more carb. so you don’t have to worry about thick crust!
