Such an excellent poem!! Very impressive! I really loved it. There is something about the lines and the creases on ones face that speaks to who you are and where you’ve been. There is a great lyric line on this in the Country Western song “My First Taste Of Texas” by Ed Bruce – “And I Suppose The Lines On My Face Told Her Mine”. Bravo!!!!

Thank you so much for reading and comment. You seem to make many posts each day. It’s wonderful. I only have 1/2 hour a day to visit my blogging friends. It’s interesting that Word Press only let me click “like” a certain numbers a day. After I reach that number, it stops taking the click, so if I don’t click “like” for your posts, it’s because I want to make sure I visit other blogs. I’m on vacation for this month. You have more than enough poems to publish.
I always like to let someone know when what they have written hits a sweet note. Yes, Mainly reblogs/shares of other great writers I have been reading. I love to share in the same way others like to share recipes, great movies to see or books to read. As you well know it is hard to read everything that is posted on WordPress so I appreciate it when someone I trust reblogs a writer they like.
Ha! Being retired I have more time to give to blogging and am grateful for that as I get to connect with such lovely writers as yourself! I so appreciate all the support, views, comments and the wonderful seeds of inspiration you have provided for some of my poems!!! I am indebted to you, Miriam!!

You’re so welcome. I’m rehired but I only have 60% of energy as I had before cancer. I let some boogers know, so they know what to expect of me. I see that you have fun with your blog. 😄
So happy you are hired back, but having less energy is no fun! Sending prayers and best wishes!! Yes, I love my blog and all the great people/writers I get to connect with from all over the world. It is great!!!

Splendid Tanka, Miriam. I love the wrinkles theme. Wrinkles are wisdom and you shared that wonderfully. ❤

Yes, exactly, Colleen. If we all understand that wrinkles are wisdom. We wouldn’t see so many plastic, motionless faces. ❤

What a lovely poem. We do earn our wrinkles as we grow. The lines reflect our soul.

Yes, we must think the wrinkles as an honor rather than having face lift until it looks like a plastic mask!

I love that Tanka very much. Beautiful expression. 🙂
I have tried haiku but not Tanka.

Haiku is good to write. I find that Tanka has enough lines for me to tell a short story.
