My husband and I spent Mother’s Day weekend with Mercy, Will, and Autumn. Autumn is now seven and a half months old. She started crawling fast on Mother’s Day. What a joyful Mother’s Day gift she gave to her mom. She also learned to clap her hands and feet. Yes, she curls up her legs and claps her feet. She pinches something smaller than a piece of rice with her index finger and thumb. I was impressed with her fine motor dexterity.
We arrived Portland on Wednesday. Mercy took us to different gardens on Thursday and Friday.
For this post, I include several photos of Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden. It is a botanical garden located near Reed College in southeastern Portland, Oregon. The garden covers 9.49 acres (3.84 ha), is named for the numerous springs within the garden. Crystal Springs Garden features more than 2,500 rhododendrons, azaleas, and other plants in small lakes, fountain, and small waterfalls.
Many kinds of ducks, birds, and geese are residents in the Garden. My favorite is Wood Duck. This time of the year, Canada Geese have a whole bunch of offspring. It was fun watching the goslings running around eating seeds.
What a beautiful family you have! And such a precious baby granddaughter! Then, to top it all off, our photographs are simply delightful! I loved vising the garden vicariously with you! ❤ and hugs!
Thank you so much, Lynn! Every time I look at my granddaughter’s photos or videos, they put a big smile on my face. We’re so grateful for a beautiful and intelligent baby. Hugs to you! ❤ ❤
Such lovely pictures, and what a way to celebrate Motherhood, both for you, your daughter and the men. It is never too late to wish you a Happy Mother’s day.
What a beautiful family picture!
You all look so summery🙂👍….and guess who stole the show? None other than your beautiful granddaughter😍. I can’t believe how grown she is already. Praying for more blessings onto your home dear Miriam.
I’m glad you had a good mother’s day With your daughter. Your granddaughter is beautiful and so sweet. The park looks picturesque too abd some great close ups of the ducks and geese. Cheers.
Your granddaughter looks delightful. What a bundle of joy. The gardens look beautiful and I don’t think I have seen a duck with such beautiful colours – I thought perhaps it wasn’t real but I know it was. I love the photo of the Canada duck with the little ones under her wing. Gorgeous. I hope she gets to keep the majority of her brood. Lovely post Miriam.
Thank you, Irene. I don’t know why it’s call Wood Duck. Perhaps they look like painted ducks with those bright colors. Yes, I hope all the little ones will be safe and grow up in the garden.
Thank you, Beth! Yes, Autumn is a beautiful baby. We’re very thankful that she brings so much joy to us. I’m traveling, sitting in the lobby of a hotel, haven’t checked my email for days and good to have a little time to make a post to keep in touch. Thank you for reading! ❤
I can hardly believe little Autumn is almost 8 months old! She is getting more beautiful with every picture you post. And the whole family together, you are a handsome bunch for sure Miriam!!! All the other pictures are beautiful too of course :);) thank you for sharing them with us. LORD, thank You for continuing to bless sweet Miriam, and her family :):)
Thank you so much, Margaret. I’m sitting in the hostel lobby in Anchorage, Alaska, waiting to go to Denali. I’ll be back on regular blogging in June. I’m grateful for God’s blessing on our little family. Little Autumn is God’s gift to my daughter and to our family. We thank God everyday for her amazing growth. ❤ 🙂
She is adorable, those eyes could melt your heart! Today my grandson took me on a picnic to the Botanical Gardens, some flowering trees and tulips are only blooming so far in this climate.
Yes, thank you, Cheryl, that’s what my daughter said. There’s a tulip farm in Portland. The flowering is over. So I guess, the flowering is like a wave cross over US according to the climate. I missed the tulips two years in a row. Must do a better planning next year.

Thank you, Amanda. It was fun to be with Autumn.
Interestingly, people want to be correct to say Canada Geese, not Canadian Geese.😃💖

I don’t think we much care if they call them either lol.
