Value of Property or People
“We got a good deal on our 10 acres, honey.”
“First time hearing of Sequim in Washington Peninsula.”
“Many retirees here.”
“See the logging. The previous owner made a fortune.”
“We need to dig a well and have electricity connected.”
“What was the noise last night?”
“Humm… a bear visitor.”
“Wait, we park next to a beehive.”
“Get in, I’ll move the camper… Isn’t this a peaceful place for retirement?”
“What? No way. Making new friends after retirement and the neighbor is 10 acres away?”
Yes, Robbie. Even my husband’s sister lives in a 2-acre land on a hill, it’s still far away from places, I like our location that closes to people and shopping and hospital… !
Thank you, Norah. Yes, I like to be close to people. I’m still on vacation, taking a few minutes here and there to check email and blogs. Visit you in a couple days when I have wifi again.

As much as I love to live in a large property in the thick of nature, I love neighbours too!

I feel the same since I’ve been a city girl all my life. I don’t think I can make a drastic change at older age!

Great story Miriam. I agree – not the place to be in retirement but he has a plan. Great use of value.

Thank you, Irene. It happens often. I’m back to Anchorage just in time for bed. Good night!

Great response, Miriam. I am with you, I like to be near people and away from wild bears and bees.

I don’t think I’d like to live close to a bear-attracting beehive either. I like the way you combined different values into your property story.

And there goes the neighborhood… broken up by those who can’t appreciate it.

That’s so true, D. It happens when demand is greater than supply.
