Lens-Artists Photo Challenge: Patterns
We took a vacation in Spain, one thing impressed me the most was the architecture. Whether it was during the occupancy of the Roman Empire or Islamic Conquer to the contemporary design, patterns are easily observed. Here are a few of them.

Art & Science Building, Valencia, Spain

Hi Miriam the Synagogue of Santa María la Blanca is my favourite, partly for the photo and partly for the exotic sounding typically Spanish name.

I was amazed by it, almost got lost from lingering to take photos.

Spectacular architecture Miriam. I’ve been to many places in Europe but have yet to get to Spain. Spain is definitely on my bucket list so thanks for giving us a beautiful sampling here. ❤

You’re welcome, Debby. I appreciate the fact that they kept the ancient architecture. The synagogue was a Muslim temple. They removed the outer structure, rebuilt the outer layer into Cathedral or Jewish motif but modified the interior. ❤

What a magnificent patter gallery of architecture! Your beautiful photos remind me the trip we took with Rick Steves group a few years ago. 🙂

We joined Trafalgar. That was the third time we went with that group. We went to Europe. Germany & Austria, then Spain. The excursions add up. We have tried other tour group. 🙂

It’s worth going considering the rich history. The synagogue was a Muslim temple, the outer structure was removed and rebuilt, but the interior was mostly kept. Thank you for reading.

I was standing there for a long time to wait for one second of clear view. I even lost my tour group because they moved on. Good thing that my husband is tall and I can always spot him, then get back to the group!

Spain lends itself to find the diversity of types of architecture. Your photos are extraordinary wherever you look. A vacation full of culture. Good for you.

Thank you, Brian. Spain is hot, but I like many things there. It just that they don’t serve dinner until 8:00 p.m. Most of the dinner restaurants are close all afternoon and early evening.

I love Spain as well despite the heat. Late evenings strolling looking for a place to eat, tapas bars, 10euro specials, we adapted well.

It has a lot of nice things to do there. If we go back, my sister-in-law recommended that we go to Portugal also.
