Travel Highlight – Australia
My husband was born in Australia. When we started our travel journey, it was logical that Australia was our first choice. We like to fly nonstop as much as possible. It was a 17 hours’ flight from Los Angeles, the longest flight we have had.
Our first visit was to tour the Sydney Opera House. Besides the tour, we watched an opera available during our visit.

Bondi Beach
Jogged few memories, Miriam. I too have flown from LA to Melbourne in late 2014 and now settled here. Been many places – matching what you been to – within Australia so far, but yet to travel to SA and WA region. Check out my travel blog on Uluru. That was the best trip ever.

Yes, it is. The sand at Bondi Beach is so fine. I couldn’t believe it. We didn’t go to Melbourne, but will go for sure next time. From the photos, you could tell that my husband enjoyed his diving at Great Barrier Reef. Thank you for your comment!!

It’s a beautiful country with slightly different weather from south to north. North is more tropical with large leafy plants. If you look at the header of my blog, the photo is Bondi Beach by Sydney. The sand is as fine as flour.

We love Australia! We spent 10 days there. We visited Sydney, Cairns, and Brisbane. Cairns was our favorite simply because of the Great Barrier Reef!! We hope to go back!

Are you living on the west or east coast? Surely Great Barrier Reef is a beautiful place not just for diving. It’s tropical and the plants and leaves are so big.

Yes, it is beautiful. The sand is as fine as flour. Of course the Great Barrier Reef is beautiful even if you don’t go diving. There are so many animals and so many species of parrots only found in Australia!

Thank you, Jamie. Unlike other travel we had, we went on our own to Australia. We had fun taking the time to walk around. The sand in Bondi beach is so fine. I just love it.
If we go again, we’ll go to New Zealand also! 🙂
