calls the Mother Earth to shift,
holds energy, to
bring forth life and beauty
in the wake of sunny spring.

Thank you so much, Vashti! I hope you had a peaceful Sunday. I just sent the specs to a book cover designer for my first poetry collection. I still have a lot to do for the final touch. ❤ 🙂

Thank you, Debby. I’m a bird lover, watching and feeding birds every day. Colleen helped me to identify the house finches in my garden. ❤

Perfect Tanka! Seasons change and inspire us to pen our thoughts about them! Year after year Mother Nature awakens us to see the change and soak in her glory. I like that picture too. Thanks Miriam.

Thank you, Balroop. In fact, I wrote it after I read your post of visiting the Redwood forest. I do most of my writing in the morning when I tend the garden.

You’re welcome, Balroop. Yes, when I was working in the school district (I’m retired), I like to work with a team. We built on each other’s idea to make a greater result.
Thank you for your inspiration. It also brings back memory of the trip with my daughter. She was standing by the drive through tree!

Thank you, Dwight. I have house finches that are not as colorful, but the male has bright orange front!

I have those as well. The ones I have have a bright rose/red breast. The females look like sparrows.

Yes, even my hummingbirds, the female is plain. That was how I could tell that my baby hummingbird is a male.
