Lens-Artists Challenge #16 – BIG Can Be Beautiful Too!
One of our short trip getaway locations is Las Vegas, Nevada. It’s a four hours’ drive from home. We usually stay there from Monday to Thursday when the hotel rate is lower. We started staying at Luxor when it was first built, and it seemed to be bigger then. It looks a lot smaller now with the surrounding new and bigger casinos.
I prefer the decorative theme of Luxor featuring the Colossi – larger than life size statutes found in Luxor Temple, ancient Egypt.
The purpose of going to Las Vegas is not for gaming. We enjoy the food, sights and sounds for a change of routine. The Cirque Du Soleil show at MGM across from Luxor has the largest set among all their shows. Going to the show was the highlight of this trip last month.
The overpass gives easy access to go around town, no driving is needed.

Hi Miriam! I’ve only gone to Las Vegas once and it was a great experience. Las Vegas is much farther from us. We enjoyed visiting the different hotels, the buffets, and the shows. The Luxor is a beautiful hotel. The pictures are great!

We stayed in different hotels also, but Luxor and Excalibur are closer to the freeway, so we ended up staying at those two mostly. Thank you for liking the pictures. 🙂 xox
