My Recommendation

Passages and Paths – A Journey of Life through Poetry is a collection of poetry filled with pleasant rhymes and lyrics. The author describes her love in nature, shares her views of heartache, intimate love relationship, a mother’s love, a child hidden in a box watching the parents argue, and her fantasy of escaping to a better place with no trace.

One of my favorite poems was “Surrender My Soul”:

“Brighten the night, with light from above

Awaken the ground, with your undying love

Your spirit ignites the souls in the sky

Dancing about, as they gracefully fly

Images, illuminating the darkness within

Creating their music, with a lyrical spin

Casting their wonder, in a spiritual glow

From Heaven above, to the Earth down below

Singing so sweetly, their songs, so tender

As my heart finds peace, my soul, surrender”

Dorinda Creates touching images in the common experiences. Readers will resonate the expression in these poems.

About the Author

Dorinda Duclos is a writer of poetry, sharing her life experiences in verse. She is also the author of the blog, Night Owl Poetry, and finds it divine that you have joined her on her own, personal journey. She is a member of the Poetry Society of America and the Academy of American Poets.
