Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #34: Close-Up
Anne Christine’s theme this week for Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #34 is: Close-Up.
There are many activities in my garden for me to take close-up photos. Here are just several of them.
I love to have bees around to pollinate the fruit blossoms, as a result, I took photos of the bees whenever they hover over the flowers.
I don’t have enough butterfly attracting flowers, but I got visited by several species of butterfly. Here are two of them.

Mourning Cloak butterfly

Monarch butterfly
There are many kinds of birds coming to my backyard for feeding. Among them, the Mourning Doves that move very slowly. They are not alert when eating.

Mourning Doves
Three beautiful stray cats in the backyard. This one ate two of the Mourning Doves.
This squirrel came to share the bird food. He was not afraid of me when I came close take his photos. I chased him away but he kept coming back.
These photos are wonderful, Miriam!! You really are good. The mourning doves are pretty amazing. 🙂
Hope you are doing well. Have a blessed week and love you Miriam,
Debbie

Beautiful photos Miriam and skilfully taken. Apart from your sweet cat I have all these creatures too.
One of the squirrels is very friendly and tame too but I had to buy Squirrel proof feeders.
The butterflies I have many … not yet this year … including Monarch.
A wonder they all are to watch.

Thank you, Miriam for reading. I should look into getting a squirrel proof feeders because I don’t want the birds to go away because of them.

Lovely gallery, Miriam! You do have brilliant opportunities right there in your garden – and they are brightening my day as well! I have a soft spot for Monarchs – we don’t have them here in Sweden.

Thank you, Anne-Christine! I think they like warmer weather. They fly south in winter.

Beautiful photos of your garden’s flora and fauna . Lovely Sunflowers and butterflies, not to keen on the cat eating the pigeons though 😐💜

Thank you, Willow. Yes, they are very entertaining, that’s why I tend the garden and feed the birds. I set the wire fence higher than the cats could climb over. It works for now. ❤ 🙂
