Conversations With Colleen: Meet Author & Poet, Miriam Hurdle
I’m delighted Colleen invited me over to have a conversation with her. I got a chance to talk about things I’ve never written for my blog. I love to invite you stopping by her blog and find out about our conversation. ❤ ❤

Hello everyone! This week I’m thrilled to bring you a new author. Miriam Hurdle participates in my Weekly Poetry Challenge and I often run into her at the Carrot Ranch Literary Community, where she participates in the flash fiction challenges. When I asked her to pick three or four questions from my huge list HERE, she got really excited. First, please meet my guest, Miriam Hurdle.

Fantastic interview, Miriam. So wonderful to learn about your talents and history. My daughter speaks That, which (you probably know) is also tonal. Your stories about mistakes remind me of some of her experiences in Thailand. The people were always gracious about correcting her, but some were pretty funny. And your paintings are gorgeous!

Thank you, Diana. The students asked why the teachers understood what they tried to say but other people might not. Yes, some knew what they tried to say and corrected them.
Good to know your daughter speaks that language. How long was she in Thailand?
I’m glad you like my painting!

She was in Thailand for a year, including for the horrible tsunami. That was such a scary time, Miriam. We didn’t hear from her for a week, though she was fine. It was just that a lot of the communication was down. And I love your paintings!

My friends’ daughter went to Rwanda for a summer mission. They said it was so hard to get into some area there. Even if their daughter had disaster, they couldn’t go to rescue her.
We have to pray for their safety and support their aspiration! I’m glad the scary part turned out to be okay.
I’ll go back to the painting class in the summer!
