Spring Brunch
Our church fellowship has an annual auction fundraising event for the missionaries. There are open auction and the silent auction. Members of the group donate goods or activities for auction. We then bid on the items and all proceeds go to the missionaries.
My husband and I donated a steak dinner event, and the bid went up to $400 from two couples. A friend and I sponsored a silent auction of brunch for 12 ladies with $25 each. There were more ladies who wanted to sign up, but it quickly filled all the spots.
We signed up for five silent auction events and bid for two open auctions. One of the silent auction I got was a Spring Brunch held last Saturday. The hostess decorated her home with Paris theme. The co-hostesses did a fabulous job to make the event memorable. The food was delicious and beautiful. Being with this almost 30 years of long-time friends is always a delight and enjoyable.
This is gorgeous!

When I first saw the heading my brain said Spring Bunch and I thought of flowers. Then I was amazed by the pictures, what a lot of effort and imagination went into the lovely brunch.

Thank you so much for reading. I go to this brunch every year and sponsor one every year. I’ll make sure to give them better titles to indicate food rather than flowers!! 🙂 🙂

A lovely idea to raise money, Miriam. The brunch you attended looked lovely. Pink is one of my favourite colours, together with yellow, orange and lime green. Happy Easter dear friend.

Your color combination is very pretty, Robbie. My friend almost went into catering business after she retired from real estate because it’s her passion to decorate. But she has some mysterious physical problem causing her dizziness so she gave up the idea.
Happy Easter to you!

Thank you, Denise. We try to make it a fun event. It used to be fancier at the night of the fundraising with people bright in the fine China to decorate the tables. Then we semi-dressed up. One year, a guy had the tux on top, and jeans at the bottom.
We had all kinds of cheese cakes for dessert in our younger days!!

yes – I saw all of that – but if you look at the food – there is a bite taken out and it leads the eye to the tower on the plate – it is pretty fun
