Hi Miriam, I’m new to your blog and glad I found you. You captured the Japanese garden without a word. Beautiful photos. I’m from Portland and remember this place well. Did I see something about Mt. St. Helen’s? Looking forward to photos of that.
I agree. I went to Japan in the summer, so there weren’t many blooms but I still made my way to several parks and gardens because even their green vegetation looked impeccable and I love the koi ponds. 😀 ❤
Oh my and a Chinese garden too! I never heard of it till now. Thanks for letting me know of its existence and if i ever make it back to OR, will definitely stop to see these 2 gardens.

Hi Geanie, thank you for checking out my blog. I did a couple posts on Mt. St, Helen but didn’t include too many photos.
I lived in Portland for 2 1/2 years about 42 years ago, and now live in CA. My daughter is in Portland and I go there often to see my granddaughter.
You traveled to many wonderful places and how fun it is to visit the magnificent libraries.
We travel regularly, Europe and Australia so far. Are you still in Portland area?

No, but get back there a couple of times a year to see family. We also make a pilgrimage to the Oregon Coast when there.

Gorgeous pictures, Miriam! The cherry blossom at the top, the waterfall, and koi are my favorite although, all the pictures are beautiful. 😀 xo

Yes, we went in their coldest month. I was freezing during one hiking trip. I would like to go back in spring. ❤ ❤

I think it has been there for a long time. When we go to botanical gardens, we always like to go to Japanese garden or Chinese garden!
