Colleen’s Poetry Challenge: Photo Prompt – The Messenger
It’s the middle of the month challenge ~ time for a photo prompt! Colleen wants us to use this photo as the inspiration for the poem.
The Messenger
A
bottle
half buried
in smooth white sand.
Reminder of kisses,
warm braces and loving gazes,
our future we celebrated.
Through cruelty we were separated.
Holding tears this bottle I picked up.
“I’m alive, call this number, my love.”
Colleen’s Poetry Challenge: Photo Prompt – The Messenger
Wow!! Go Miriam!! It does bring to mind Romeo & Juliet like someone said earlier. Nicely done.

I hereby expose my limited knowledge that my knowledge isn’t unlimited… I can tell you quite a bit about ether but to me etheree sounds like referee spelled wrong!! But know I am ready to start counting to ten in syllables.
Your etheree is more emotionally loaded then Romeo and Juliet, but then I am not a referee of poetry.

Haha, Abrie, thank you for your comment. Yes, counting syllable is what I do more than writing the poems for this challenge!
