Allies and Spies by Diana W. Peach Released
Allies and Spies, Book 2 of the Unraveling the Veil Trilogy is now available on Kindle.

Allies and Spies

Trust is as thin as a blade’s edge. Secrets abound. And no one is who they seem. Kalann il Drakk, the First of Chaos, makes a bargain with his brethren, in which the future of civilization hangs in the balance.
Thrust together by a sacred oath, a halfbreed goblin, a misfit elf, and a changeling spy unite in an uneasy alliance. But their mission to learn the truth of the strange disappearances must wait—for they owe a blood debt to the changeling queen.
In the Raveen Mountains, the cornerstones of Naj’s life crumble. Goblins assemble a massive shipment of crystals for the Borderland—enough to power Ka Radiff for a decade or, with a single spark, blow it apart.
In the elfin Riverlands, Alue learns of the clandestine Coalition. Rumors whisper of a vast conspiracy. But that knowledge pales in comparison to a startling revelation that shatters the foundations of her life.
When a dead goblin turns up on the slopes beneath the Veil, Talin has no choice but to admit to changeling crimes. The tenuous alliance falters. Treachery runs deep and wide. And in the changelings’ jungle, the queen releases her venom. The ground fractures. And only the truth about il Drakk’s cruel designs has the power to spare their lives.
Please head over to congratulate Diana W. Peach for her new release…

Hi Miriam, I thoroughly enjoyed Book 1 and I look forward to reading Book 2. I was imagining what the characters looked like and now I see a photo. Fun! Congratulations to Diana. If I recall correctly, Diana designed the covers of the books. Beautiful!

Wow, I’m glad you enjoyed Book 1 as much as or more than I did. Book 2 got to be interesting with the different dynamic in the characters. Yes, Diana designed the covers and produced the trailer for her books. They are beautiful!

Thanks so much for stopping by, Erica. I’m so glad you like the covers. With the pandemic this year, I had to be careful with finances and, yes, made these myself. 🙂 And it was fun pulling together an image of the characters too. They aren’t exactly as I picture them in my head, but close enough. Lol. And I’m just delighted that you enjoyed the first book. I do hope that each one builds on the one before and gets better and better. Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Reading!

Now the images mean more to me, knowing you pulled them together. You are exceptionally creative and talented, Diana! xx 💕

I have to create most of my own images, Erica, but not from scratch! (I wish Lol). I look for free images and then modify and layer them. It’s not hard, and it’s fun when I feel like procrastinating! Ha ha.

I get it on the procrastinating. 🙂

People are getting creative and inventive out of the pandemic situation. Businesses will change their way of operations even when Covid is over. My son-in-law will work at home for a long time.
Individuals are doing things they didn’t do before. So it was good that Diana taps into her creativity to do the book covers.
Have a wonderful weekend, Erica and Diana. 💖

I’ve been reading about a half-hour from Book 1 every night before bed, but I’m only about one-third of the way through it. As soon as I saw the cover to Book 2, I knew what it was.

That’s a good pace of reading, Pete. Reading can help some people fall asleep. Yeah, the book covers are in the same them with different colors.

My wife is one of those people who can fall asleep two minutes after she goes to bed. On the other hand, there are people like me who are fussy sleepers. I’m a prima donna (haha) because everything has to be perfect for me to fall asleep. Reading helps get me there.

It’s the opposite here. It takes me more than an hour to fall asleep. I need to have the light off for him though, so I could only listen to music with a headphone.

Thanks for the visit and comment, Pete. I’m a before-bed reader too, but I’ve started reading on my treadmill as well. Multitasking! Have a lovely Sunday and week ahead. Happy Reading.

I love the images also, Toni. It puts the context in the tale. I’m curious about these three characters of what would happen to them. Thank you for your comment. 🙂

Aww. Thanks for sharing, Miriam. I didn’t expect this and what a wonderful surprise. You’re so sweet. It feels great to have the second book out. One more at the end of the month and then I’m taking a long nap!! Have a beautiful day, my friend. ❤

You’re very welcome, Diana. You surely have had a long three years of delayed gratification! A long nap, or put your feet up, a nice cup of tea, or have your grandson over for a Halloween party. I’ve had a layback day! ❤

My brother moved to Hawaii last month. I’m thinking I might visit in November??? That’s a nice place for a nap. Lol. Thanks again, Miriam. ❤

Hawaii is definitely a nice place for a nap, Diana. I’ve only been to Maui, four or five times. My husband has been to other islands and likes Maui the best. I want to see other islands someday. Which island did your brother move to? ❤

He works for the Navy, so Oahu. It wouldn’t be my first choice, but hey, I’m not complaining!

My sister’s late husband worked for the Navy also. They were in Cairo for five years. I wish we visited them and went to see the pyramid. He died of liver cancer at age 51, a few years after coming back to the US. We never knew what he did when he was alive. Only from the ulogy, we learned he worked for the missile program!

I’m sorry that your brother-in-law passed away so young. Cairo would have been amazing. Maybe someday. 😀

Yeah, it was tough for my sister and the two teenage nieces. They graduated from college now. Cairo is now our top place for sightseeing though. 😀

It’s expensive to live in Hawaii. Most of the food is imported. Working for the government is a different story living there. Enjoy your visit!

Thanks so much, Rebecca. Hmm. A refreshing tea since the story has a lot of hot drought weather. But equatorial jungle works too. Lol. Thanks so much for the lovely comment. I hope that if you give the trilogy a try, you enjoy the adventure. Have a lovely weekend. 🙂 And I haven’t forgotten about the podcast! I’m just catching my breath. ❤ ❤
