Happy New Year, My Friends!
I enjoy reading quotes. I used to memorize them for encouragement and motivation. Lao Tzu is known for his wisdom and I believe our doing begins with our thinking.
I read 100 best New Year’s quotes for 2021 and included 10 here.

Our New Year’s tradition used to be watching the fireworks beginning at 15 minutes before 9:00 p.m. PST (12:00 a.m. EST) for the countdown in Times Square, New York, then watching the fireworks around the world. Many countries didn’t have fireworks this year. We watched the video clips of a few countries where they had fireworks. Here is a short BBC clip.

Wonderful quotes. Even though I’m not reading them until January 14 it still feels like the beginning of a new year. And actually these quotes work for me every day of the year!

I really liked the Lao Tzu quote. That one is pretty relevant to my immediate interests.

That’s the importance of education, to set one’s mind in the right place from childhood. It’s the teaching of the Bible also.

Happy New Year, Diana! I walked away many things in the recent years. I didn’t want to quit my volunteer counseling two years ago but some no shows of the clients kept me waiting was getting too much. I reminded me of lessons learned long time ago that the world still goes on without me and often times only I could take care of myself.
I look forward to a brighter and healthier new year! 💞💖
