Maple in Four Seasons

There are approximately 132 species of maples, most of which are native to Asia, with a number also appearing in Europe, northern Africa, and North America. Thirteen maples are native to North America; three are native to Oregon. Maple trees seem to be popular for many reasons. My daughter has seven maples. We have four, three regular size, and one dwarf Japanese maple. I had all the intention of photographing the maple tree in front of our red door throughout the seasons. I couldn’t decide on the angle when I started to take photos of the tree last winter. As a result, the angle of the almost naked tree at the beginning of spring is different than the ones in other seasons.
We had a maple in front of our California home also but I love the maple in front of our current home for its dramatic change from green to red color.

Gorgeous photos. I like the different angle. The Fall photo is my favorite of the beauty red maple leaves!

Thank you, Brenda! The maple leaves are still red but falling. 🍁 Winter is very gloomy here because of the six months of rain. Thinking about the sunshine helps us get through it! 😄 Happy Thanksgiving to you.

We don’t normally get 10 inches of snow. When we did last year and I took photos, it gave me the idea of doing four seasons of that tree. Thank you for visiting, Paula.
