This week for Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #62, Patti invites us to share the Silhouetted photos.
It was raining when we arrived Anchorage, Alaska, last year. We were apprehensive if there would be a sunny sky in Denali National Park. I was delighted the weather cleared up as the tour bus approached the Park. I took this photo of the clear sky with the bright sun behind the tree, giving me the image of a star on top of a Christmas tree.
On this day in Maui, the clouds drifted on and off in front of the sun. I often come up with images of the shadowy clouds.
I love to take photos of the full moon. On this night, I waited on the driveway of my house for the clouds to clear for the moon. I like the turnout of the jagged and blurry image of the trees. Later that night, I took many photos of the clear full moon.
The heavy traffic contributes to the smog in downtown Los Angeles. The sunset could be an awing color show and the silhouette of the buildings makes a unique framing.
This is one of my favorite sunset photos taken in Key West, Florida. I was running along the waterfront, trying to get a clear view. It turned out the silhouette of the people created a different dimension to the photo.
This week the theme for Lens-Artists Photo Challenge is Reflection, from Patti Moed.
The photos I selected for this post are reflections of water I admired during different trips near and far.
This is Puente de Alcántara Bridge over the calm river, Toledo Spain.
As stated in my previous post, I love taking photos of the sky. This set is the sky of sunrise and sunset.
Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge – Sky
My husband and I live in southern California. My daughter and her husband live in Portland Oregon. There is 1,000 miles in distance. We visit each other several times a year and go places together. My “wish” or “desire” has been that we live closer together. We could just hop over for dinner. We could have a game night until late, and still not too far away to get home. We could go for a walk and talk about everyday life. With technology, there’s no limit to send a text, get on the phone, or skype. Yet, there is nothing compare to being close by and able to do thing spontaneously.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Wish
Our chorale group and the orchestra had a musical performance at the Nixon Library at Yorba Linda, California. From the entrance of the main building to the Ballroom, there were flags lined up against both sides of the walls. I couldn’t help but had a sense of reverence as I walked through the hall to enter the Ballroom. Before our performance began, I stepped outside to the garden. There were walkways on each side of the fountain, and the shrubs were pleasantly well maintained. The outdoor hallway along the main building is decorated with large pots of date palms next to each of the ceiling to floor windows of the building. I enjoyed such a refreshing sight before our performance.
