Full Moon July 2017

The moon looked like a Full Moon last night, July 7, 2017. This was one of the photos I took at 9:17 p.m. PDT last night. My research shows that the Full Moon is tonight, July 8, at 9:07 p.m. PDT. I’ll take a few photos tonight to make the comparison.

Moon July 2017

The Full Moon for July 2017 will reach its fullest on the morning on July 9th in the Unites States and Europe later in the afternoon.

“For many American Indian tribes, July’s Full Moon is commonly known as the Full Buck Moon because it’s the time of year the Buck Deer start to grow their new antlers. This month is also known as the Thunder Moon because of the large thunderhead clouds that form on the American plains in this summer month.”

Full Moon – February 2017

Tonight when we were driving home after dinner at a restaurant, I saw the full moon rising up from the east. The sky was still blue and bright, because the sun was still setting on the west. I wish I had a video camera to film both the sun and the moon in the sky. But the sky was getting darker and darker. I just concentrated on taking the photos of the moon. From the first picture of the moon in the blue sky to the last picture of the moon in a completely dark sky, there was only a ten-minute period. I included the February, 2017 Moon Phases calendar, and a description of the Moon Phases.                 Source: https://stardate.org/nightsky/moon
