Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge – Fountains

When we went to Spain to celebrate our 20th anniversary in August 2016, we had a treat of watching the water dance in this fountain in Barcelona. I included two photos in this post. The third photo was taken in Portland, Oregon last month, and the last photo is in Yorba Linda, California in front of the President Nixon Library.

Cee’s Which Way Photo Challenge – Nixon Library

Our chorale group and the orchestra had a musical performance at the Nixon Library at Yorba Linda, California. From the entrance of the main building to the Ballroom, there were flags lined up against both sides of the walls. I couldn’t help but had a sense of reverence as I walked through the hall to enter the Ballroom. Before our performance began, I stepped outside to the garden. There were walkways on each side of the fountain, and the shrubs were pleasantly well maintained. The outdoor hallway along the main building is decorated with large pots of date palms next to each of the ceiling to floor windows of the building. I enjoyed such a refreshing sight before our performance.

Tuesday Photo Challenge – Mirrors

I had a group singing performance at Nixon Library at Yorba Linda, California. The library was set up in his remembrance because it was his birthplace. In the large meeting room, there are mirrors on opposite walls facing each other. Several chandeliers are hung on the ceiling, but two of them are hung between two sets of mirrors. I was able to take a photo of one chandelier, with the mirrors mirror each other’s perpetuated reflections.
