Colleen Poetry 2018.02.27

“This is my life. I can do whatever I want!” I’ve heard this comment and seen people having such mentalities. My heart aches to hear one person’s family is devastated and the members of their extended families are in turmoil due to one member who has made choices to change his life. It prompts me to wonder what goes on in a person’s mind and what experiences lead to one’s conclusion. When someone is about to decide, does he consider the consequences and what it would mean to the loved ones in his family, and the people he knows or doesn’t know? This bewilderment makes me be aware of my ultimate selections.

Mind is powerful

Your choices followed by actions

Have ripple effects

Change people’s current lives

Send them on different paths
